Quality Assurance

Some of the most essential monitoring activities are those dedicated to the quality assurance. To meet these ends, the PGA Seaport-e Team will establish a Quality Assurance Plan (QAP). The QAP specifies how quality assurance surveillance of the tasks will occur. The QAP focuses on the quality of performance and not just on the steps taken or procedures used to provide that product or service. The QAP should include an appropriate use of pre-planned inspections, validation of complaints, and random unscheduled inspections. The PGA Seaport-e Team’s QAP provides:

  • A form of guarantee that the Government customer receives the services for which it contracted and pays only for the services it receives.
  • A method to determine if the contractor meets the performance standards in the contract.
  • Guidelines for how and when surveillance will be performed
